Toya completed her Bachelor of Law and Legal Practice at the Flinders University of South Australia in 2001.
Toya was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2002 and onto the Registry of the High Court of Australia in 2005.
Toya commenced her legal career in the area of Family Law, Criminal Law and Victims of Crime Compensation, but soon found a passion for personal injury litigation. In 2004 Toya worked in motor vehicle accident compensation at Allianz SA-CTP, who were the claims agent for the Motor Accident Commission.
Since 2005 Toya has dedicated her practice to helping people, particularly injured people, access their legal rights to compensation and entitlements, working in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation, including Medical Negligence, Motor Vehicle Accident Compulsory Third Party (CTP), Public Liability Claims and Workcover. Toya is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for those who have been impacted through injury.
Toya joined the team at C + F Lawyers in May 2017, sharing the firm’s passion for personal injury litigation. Toya has joined the firm after working for 12 years for a large firm in the CBD as a Senior Associate in personal injury.
Toya is also a Panel Member of the Litigation Assistance Fund, which is a not for profit charitable organisation run by Law Society of South Australia. The Litigation Assistance Fund provides funding assistance to civil claimants in South Australia.
